Fizz’s first litter, five puppies (3F, 2M)

Born October 31, 2020 - it was Hallowe’en and a blue moon! The puppy names used the theme of Moons of the Solar System.

Shyne was selected at the stud for Fizz’s first litter because of his drive and forward confidence. He was environmentally confident (to a fault - there are stories of him climbing ladders and getting himself stuck on a roof!) and was a highly people-focused, interactive dog who loved to be with his family. When I did my due diligence, I learned he was good natured and social and could run with dogs (males, females, intact, altered) he’d never met without issues. He was owner-trained to his field titles and was a willing and joyful partner who worked with a lot of style. Even though he had passed away 6 years before this litter was bred, I was able to meet with his lovely family who had so many stories of his ingenuity and joy for life.

Structurally, he complemented Fizz and was a good match. He had a white mismark, so was never shown, but had the substance and angles I wanted to keep, and a really lovely head. He lived until he was 14 years old with no health complaints through his life. He also sired some dogs I really admired. I wanted to breed Fizz to a dog with some intensity and athleticism as she tends to be a bit more laid back and Shyne was a good match for that.
